MUSIC: Our Toddler music sessions are based on pre-Rock and Roll genres such as Classical, Jazz and traditional Folk songs and rhymes. Sessions will include rhythmic physical movement, active listening exercises, musical games and activities, instrument exploration, social interaction with other children and many other rich brain development activities.
ART: Our toddlers class will focus on sensory exploration and creativity. This class provides a hands-on, mess-friendly environment where young children can engage with art materials and processes in a fun, safe and supportive space.
POETRY: Our lively, interactive poetry sessions, designed for curious toddlers, blends the magic of poetry with joyful movement, sensory play and storytelling. It’s the perfect introduction to the rhythm and sounds of language, as toddlers explore poems through playful activities which will spark their imagination and boost early language development.
LANGUAGES: Spanish, French, German and Italian are the core, foreign languages at Maple Leaf, Jr. Our Toddler language sessions will introduce basic vocabulary (e.g., colors, animals, greetings, etc.) and build early exposure to the sounds and structure of each of these languages. Toddlers will be encouraged to actively participate through play, songs and simple repetition of words spoken in these beautiful languages.
ENTERTAINMENT: Our sessions are specifically tailored to stimulate senses and promote early peer interaction in toddlers. Our lectures, parent interaction and open play time will all be done in a productive and entertaining style.
OPEN PLAY: All M.A.P.L.E. Play Sessions in this age group have a time for Open Play, during which, parents guide or monitor their child as they use our sensory and soft play activity sets as well as our playground structures (if the child is physically able to do so). Our Open Play Sessions are solely focused on this aspect of our program, which also creates a perfect opportunity for adult/parent socialization and community building.
