M.A.P.L.E. LEARNING & FUN, JR. LLC TERMS AND CONDITIONS

M.A.P.L.E. Learning & Fun, Jr. LLC (“Maple Leaf, Jr.”) is dedicated to providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children and families. Please review the following terms and conditions carefully as they govern the use of our facilities, services, and programs, including our indoor playground. By entering our premises or registering for any of our services, you agree to these terms and conditions.

1. General Rules and Regulations

1.1 Supervision: All children must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian at all times while on the premises. Children in classes designed for ages under 6 years old must also be accompanied by a parent or guardian when using the restroom. At all times, on Maple Leaf, Jr. premises, parents/guardians remain responsible for their children.

1.2 Age Restrictions: The majority of indoor playground equipment is designed for children between the ages of 3 and 8 years old. Children outside of this age range may not be permitted to use certain equipment or participate in specific activities for safety reasons.

1.3 Parental Consent: Parents or guardians must sign a waiver of liability and provide consent before allowing their children to participate in Maple Leaf, Jr.’s Sessions, Services or Events.

1.4 Safety: Equipment should be used as intended. Children and parents/guardians are required to wear appropriate clothing, including Maple Leaf, Jr. socks (socks are not required for children under 1 year old), while in our facility. No shoes or sharp accessories are allowed inside the play or parent area.

1.5 Prohibited Items Inside Premises: No outside food or drink with the exception of pouches, baby bottles and drinks in sealable containers. No weapons, sharp objects, or potentially hazardous materials. Maple Leaf, Jr. reserves the right to inspect bags and belongings for safety purposes.

1.6 Lost items: Maple Leaf, Jr. is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen items.

2. Waiver of Liability

2.1 Assumption of Risk: By entering Maple Leaf, Jr. or allowing your child to participate in any of our activities, you and any minor children you are the parent or guardian of, acknowledge and agree that participation in indoor playground activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to serious and/or permanent physical injury and death which may be the result of your actions, inactions or negligence or that of Maple Leaf, Jr., its members, managers, officers, principals, agents, employees and volunteers, the environmental conditions or the equipment used. You assume full responsibility for any risk of injury, loss or death that may occur.

2.2 Release of Liability: Maple Leaf, Jr., its staff, management, and affiliates will not be held liable for any personal injuries, property damage, or loss sustained while on the premises, unless caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

2.3 Waivers: A signed, active waiver is required for all Members and non-Members prior to participation in any Sessions, Services or Events. Members and non-Members will be required to sign a new waiver document every 6 – 12 months upon request of Maple Leaf, Jr.

3. Health and Safety Policies

3.1 Health Requirements: Children who are ill or showing symptoms of illness within 24 hours of visiting (including but not limited to fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or contagious diseases) are not permitted to attend or participate in any Maple Leaf, Jr. Sessions, Services or Events. Maple Leaf, Jr. reserves the right to refuse entry to any child or individual appearing to be unwell as well as the right to ask that any child or individual leave if they appear to be unwell.

3.2 Sanitization and Hygiene: Our facility follows strict cleaning and sanitization protocols to maintain a hygienic environment. We encourage all visitors to wash or sanitize their hands before entering the facility.

3.3 Behavioral Expectations: Aggressive or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Children and families are expected to follow staff instructions, respect others, and use the equipment appropriately. Maple Leaf, Jr. reserves the right to ask individuals to leave the premises if behavior is deemed unsafe or inappropriate.

3.4 Medical Emergencies: In the event of an emergency, staff will take reasonable steps to contact the parent or guardian. If necessary, Maple Leaf, Jr. reserves the right to call for medical assistance, including emergency services. Any medical expenses incurred will be the sole responsibility of the parent or guardian.

4. Memberships, Reservations, and Payments

4.1 Memberships: The Membership is for the Lake Wylie, SC location only. In order to exercise the rights of Membership, the Membership account must be paid, active and in good standing at the time of visit. Memberships are for named individual(s) use only and are non-transferable. Membership enables Member to attend M.A.P.L.E. and/or Open Play Sessions (quantity per week varies based on Membership type) as well as other Maple Leaf, Jr. Services and Events according to Membership type and subject to Maple Leaf, Jr.’s hours of operation and Session availability. Additional fees apply for attending Open Play or M.A.P.L.E. Sessions in excess of the quantities included in the Membership description. The Membership is for the registered child(ren) only and is non-transferable. Members agree to abide by facility rules (www.mapleleafjr.com/healthandsafety)

4.2 Registration, Membership and Membership Change Fees: Registration, Membership and Membership Change fees are non-refundable. Memberships are automatically set to auto-renew (Automatic Recurring Membership) upon enrollment. Membership Fees may be prorated in the first month billing cycle based on Membership start date

4.3 Reservations: Certain activities, events, or private parties may require advance booking and/or payment. Reservations must be made through our website or by contacting the center directly. A deposit or full payment may be required to secure a booking.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

5.1 Membership Cancellation: Requests for Membership cancellation can be made at any time by emailing the request to [email protected]. If cancellation is requested greater than 14 days before the next monthly Membership billing date, the Membership and associated privileges will end at close of business the day before the billing date. If cancellation is requested 14 days or fewer prior to the next monthly Membership billing date, the billing will be due and occur as scheduled. The Membership and associated privileges will then end at close of business the day before the ensuing billing date.

5.2 Party/Celebration/Group Reservation Cancellation and Rescheduling:

Requests made 14 days or more in advance of reservation:

Cancellation: 90% refund

Reschedule: 1st rescheduling – no charge; additional rescheduling requests made 14 days in advance of reservation – $100 each

Requests made 7 – 13 days in advance of reservation:

Cancellation: 70% refund

Reschedule: 1st reschedule – $150; additional rescheduling requests made 7 – 13 days in advance of reservation – $150 each

Requests made 3 – 6 days in advance of reservation:

Cancellation: 20% refund

Reschedule: 1st reschedule – $200; additional rescheduling requests made 3 – 6 days in advance of reservation – $200 each

Requests made 1 – 2 days in advance of reservation:

 

Cancellation: 10% refund

 

Reschedule: 1st reschedule – $300; additional rescheduling requests made 1 – 2 days in advance of reservation – $300 each

 

Requests made on the same day as reservation:

Cancellation: No cancellation

Reschedule: No rescheduling

5.3 M.A.P.L.E. and Open Play Session Cancellation and Rescheduling: M.A.P.L.E. and Open Play Session reservations may be canceled up to 1 hour prior to the reservation start time. Canceled reservations for Members do not carry over into the next Membership billing month and rescheduling will be subject to availability. Maple Leaf, Jr. does not offer refunds for missed sessions or events, canceled sessions or events, late arrivals, or any other unused time in the indoor playground.

5.4 Parent’s Night Out Cancellations: Parent’s Night Out reservations can be canceled at any time but fees are non-refundable.

6. Photography and Media

6.1 Photography Consent: By entering Maple Leaf, Jr., you consent to the use of photographs taken during your visit for promotional purposes which may or may not include print media, brochures, wall hangings, website use, etc. No compensation will be paid for use of these photos. If you do not wish for your child to be photographed, please inform staff upon arrival.

6.2 Personal Photography: Parents and guardians are permitted to take photos or videos of their own children, but we ask that you respect the privacy of other visitors by avoiding images of unrelated children.

7. Code of Conduct for Children, Parents and Guardians

7.1 Respect for Others: All visitors are expected to show respect and consideration for others while at the center. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or offensive language will result in immediate removal from the premises.

7.2 Complaint Resolution: If you have any concerns or complaints about our services, please contact management directly. We are committed to addressing any issues in a prompt and professional manner.

8. Marketing Contact

Members consent to receive emails about Maple Leaf, Jr.’s promotions, upcoming events, and news. You can unsubscribe at any time. We respect your right to privacy and will never share your information with any third party.

9. Offerings, Sessions and Pricing

Maple Leaf, Jr. reserves the right to discontinue or modify pricing of any Membership type, product offering or service. Additionally, Maple Leaf, Jr. reserves the right to cancel or discontinue any Session for any reason.

10. Changes to Terms and Conditions

Maple Leaf, Jr. reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Notice of any significant changes will be posted on our website or communicated directly to our customers.
