RULES
- Supervision: All children must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian at all times while on the premises. One parent or guardian per child during sessions due to seating limitations. Children in classes designed for ages under 5 years old must also be accompanied by a parent or guardian when using the restroom. At all times, on Maple Leaf, Jr. premises, parents/guardians remain responsible for their children.
- Behavior: No pushing, running, hitting, biting or throwing things is allowed. Bullying, aggressive or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and will be considered grounds for removal from the facility and possible loss of Membership. Children should take turns, as needed, and share play items and books. Children and families are expected to follow staff instructions and respect others.
- Equipment Use: Equipment should be used appropriately and as intended. Equipment is intended for use by children only, though, it is understood that parents/guardians, at times, may need to go on the structures to assist their child(ren).
- Shoes/Clothing: No shoes are allowed inside the play or parent area. Children and parents/guardians are required to wear appropriate clothing, including grip socks for all mobile children and socks for all entrants, while in our facility.
- Cleanliness: Hands should be washed or sanitized before entering the play area. Allowed food and drinks must be consumed in the parent seating area. All trash should placed in a trash container. When finished playing, children are encouraged to return play items and books back to their appropriate storage locations.
- Accidents: Accidents (potty and/or injury accidents) should be reported to a member of staff.
- Damages: Damages to the playground should be reported to a member of staff.
- Diaper changing: Changing should take place in the baby changing area.
- Prohibited Items Inside Premises: No outside food or drink with the exception of pouches, baby bottles and drinks in sealable containers. No weapons, sharp objects, or potentially hazardous materials. Maple Leaf, Jr. reserves the right to inspect bags and belongings for safety purposes.
MEDICAL EMERGENCY AND SICK POLICIES

Health Requirements: Children who are ill or showing symptoms of illness within 24 hours of visiting (including but not limited to fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or contagious diseases) are not permitted to attend or participate in any Maple Leaf, Jr. Sessions, Services or Events. Maple Leaf, Jr. reserves the right to refuse entry to any child or individual appearing to be unwell as well as the right to ask that any child or individual leave if they appear to be unwell.

Medical Emergencies: In the event of an emergency, staff will take reasonable steps to contact the parent or guardian. If necessary, Maple Leaf, Jr. reserves the right to call for medical assistance, including emergency services. Any medical expenses incurred will be the sole responsibility of the parent or guardian.
HEALTH
Maple Leaf, Jr. is mindful of harmful toxins that can be found in every day products, affecting the surrounding environment and air we breath. We have, therefore, made the conscious decision to use, as much as possible, natural wood, Greenguard certified or low VOC paints and products. We sanitize our center with non-toxic cleaners, such as Force of Nature, and use a blend of powerful, antibacterial essential oils as hand sanitizer.
